With ampler layout and lots of bugs squashed, version 2.15 of Position Size Calculator together with version 1.06 of PSC-Trader have been released today. The main goal of this update was to fix as many errors and inconsistencies in calculation and display as possible. The second goal was to add some of the requested features to the tool and to prepare it for trade volume size precision of 8 decimal places (0.00000001), which is used in cryptocurrency trading and will soon become available at supporting MT5 brokers.
The new features include:
- Input parameters for default SL/TP — handy when working with chart templates.
- Wider design (MT5 only) — everything now fits well. For example, these numbers would never fit in older versions:
- Checkboxes for accompanying PSC-Trader script to reduce the trade’s size by the volume of the current open positions and/or pending orders.
- Modification of how the trading script reacts to the position size exceeding the given maximum — it will now open a trade at the maximum size instead of rejecting it completely.
A complete list of changes is available in the changelog.
You have to update the PSC-Trader script to the latest version (1.06) for it to work properly with the new Position Size Calculator.
If you prefer not to use MetaTrader, you can opt for the web version of the position size calculator. Despite differing significantly from the MetaTrader version, it will let you calculate position size easily.
